POTW is live — real-money rewards, paid per unit owned
Our first real-money Player of the Week (POTW) competition begins today at 4pm and runs until midnight next Thursday. Every gameweek, the top 20 scoring players (incl. ties) earn cash rewards for their holders — paid per unit owned.
Example
- If a player has 2 total units in circulation and you own 1 → you receive 50% of that player's reward.
- If a winning player has no holders, their prize rolls over into the next gameweek's pot — creating even bigger weeks ahead.
🔍 How to Gain an Edge
Before each gameweek, review the upcoming schedule and look for:
- Strong fixture matchups
Teams with weaker opposition often produce high-scorers. - Clubs with multiple fixtures
Players with two matches in a gameweek can explode — if they are likely starters in both.
All points earned between Friday 4pm → Thursday midnight count toward the POTW standings.
🔄 Buying & Selling
- You can sell a player any time after 4pm Friday and they will still count for your POTW squad for that gameweek.
- Check this via Player of the Week → Your Squad.
- Or hold long-term and trade on performance + demand.
- If a player sits in your portfolio at 4pm Friday, they're locked in for the gameweek.
💰 Gameweek 1 Prize Boost
For GW1, FootballPX has seeded the pot with an extra €250.
We'll also be boosting each of the first four gameweeks — so early entrants have huge upside.
